Everton boss David Moyes says Jack Rodwell red card wrong

Everton boss David Moyes says the first-half red card given to Jack Rodwell by referee Martin Atkinson in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park was "wrong."

Moyes also says it was the wrong decision to appoint Atkinson to officiate and criticised the decision to send the officials into both Everton and Liverpool's training ground in the build-up to the match.

Rodwell was sent off after 23 minutes for what appeared to be a legitimate challenge on Suarez.

Moyes maintains he would have been disappointed if a foul had been given for the challenge, never mind a red card, and says he would have to "coach the players differently if that was a red card."
