Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says his side "made history" after they demolished rivals Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford.

The defender says he and his team were inspired by the "heroic" performances in Sunday's Rugby World Cup final, but insists that the celebrations will be on hold until his team lift the Premier League trophy.
