Palace performance pleases Freedman

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman is delighted with the defensive performance of his side and feels the Eagles deserved their 1-0 win over Cardiff in their Carling Cup semi-final first leg.

Freedman praises the character of his squad, many of whom were suffering with a virus the day before the game at Selhurst Park, and says he expects a very cagey second leg in Cardiff.
