Mark Hughes says QPR ambitions match his own

New QPR boss Mark Hughes says his ambitions match those of the club, external as he is unveiled as manager following a "whirlwind of negotiation".

Hughes oversaw his first training session with his new squad before the news conference and describes them as "a good group", but admits there are "certain areas that obviously need addressing", hinting he may be in the market for a striker during the January transfer window.

The former Wales, Blackburn, Manchester City and Fulham manager also reveals he has no plans to relieve Joey Barton of the club captaincy, stating he has "no plans" to censor his exploits on Twitter and describing the 28-year old as a "very accomplished player".
