Ferguson praises Paul Scholes' role in Wigan defeat

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates Paul Scholes' consistency after the veteran inspired his side to a 4-0 win over Wigan.

Scholes made his 700th appearance for United, and tapped in from close range six minutes into the second half at Old Trafford.

Goals followed from Javier Hernandez, Alex Buttner and Nick Powell, with the win lifting United into second place in the Premier League table, a point behind leaders Chelsea.
