Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers disappointed by Shelvey's red card

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is disappointed with the red card given to Jonjo Shelvey during his side's 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester United.

Shelvey was sent off for a tackle on United's Jonny Evans, but Rodgers believes Evans should also have been dismissed for his part in the incident.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, Steven Gerrard put Liverpool ahead in the second half, but Rafael and a Robin van Persie penalty won it for Sir Alex Ferguson's team.
