Liverpool 1-2 Man Utd: Sir Alex Ferguson admits to 'poor' performance

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admits Liverpool dominated the first half of their Anfield clash and that Rafael Da Silva's equaliser had "pulled them out of the mire".

Liverpool took the lead through Steven Gerrard before Rafael and Robin van Persie, from the penalty spot, earned Manchester United a 2-1 win against 10-man Liverpool in their first meeting since the Hillsborough report was published.

The United boss said both sets of fans "honoured" each other's clubs with their respectful pre-match behaviour.
