John Terry admission called for by Damian Collins MP

Damian Collins MP, a member of the House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, says John Terry should acknowledge what he did was "wrong", after the Chelsea captain was banned for four matches and fined £220,000 by the Football Association for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

Collins also believes that football clubs should take greater responsibility for their players' behaviour when it comes to socially important issues, and not automatically "rally round the player, like this is any other disciplinary offence".

Terry was cleared of a criminal offence at Westminster Magistrates' Court in July.
