Leon McKenzie discusses suicide attempt

Former Crystal Palace, Peterborough United and Norwich City striker Leon McKenzie explains how he tried to take his own life after suffering from depression.

Stoke City have become the first Premier League club to actively address the issue of depression in football, allowing Elite Welfare Management - a not-for-profit organisation set up by former Stoke player Vincent Pericard - to speak with and offer confidential support to their players.

McKenzie tells BBC Sport's Tim Hague what drove him to take an overdose.
