Mansfield's John Thompson considered quitting football

Mansfield Town defender John Thompson tells BBC Radio Nottingham he considered quitting football after enduring a miserable time at Field Mill following his move from Notts County.

Thompson has just returned to the Stags side but his year at Field Mill has been blighted by injury.

He said he started falling out of love with football but his determination to prove people wrong made him focus on getting back in the side.
