Wales race track plan gets the backing of MotoGP CEO
Plans for a world-class race track at the foot of the Brecon Beacons are set to bring MotoGP cycle racing to Wales.
Plans for the Rassau Industrial estate near Ebbw Vale would cost in the region of £300m and its backers claim it could create thousands of jobs, with Carmelo Ezpeleta, the CEO of MotoGP and World Superbikes, saying they aim to stage races in Wales in 2015.
Sport Wales reporter Steffan Garrero spoke to planners, motor racing experts and objectors to the plan, which has a staunch supporter in the shape of Welsh Superbikes competitor Chas Davies, who believes it would be a huge boost for British motorsport.
