Everton: Roberto Martinez aiming to build on David Moyes' success
New Everton boss Roberto Martinez says he is "excited and honoured" to have been given the chance to manage the club after signing a four-year deal with the Goodison Park outfit.
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright says he decided on Martinez after the Spaniard told him in their first meeting that he would get the club into the Champions League.
Martinez, while not promising instant success, says he wants to build on everything previous manager David Moyes achieved at Everton and wants to challenge for a European place.
