Jose Mourinho warning after failed Wayne Rooney bid

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says players who are not first choice at their clubs could be "in trouble" ahead of next summer's World Cup.

His comments come two days after the Blues had a bid for Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney rejected, with Mourinho saying the England forward was the club's only transfer target.

The England striker was said to have been left angered and confused over his future at Old Trafford after manager David Moyes hinted he was not his first choice.
