Owen Coyle: Wigan manager pleased with summer recruitment

Manager Owen Coyle tells BBC North West Tonight he is happy with the squad he has put together for his first season at Wigan Athletic.

The FA Cup winners have made eight new signings, including England international goalkeeper Scott Carson and striker Grant Holt from Norwich.

Coyle is also confident his team can cope with the extra demands of a congested fixture schedule - the Latics are guaranteed to play at least 55 matches because of their involvement in the Europa League and the Community Shield.
