Summer football on Irish League agenda

Switching to a summer season is one of the topics to be considered by the newly-established Northern Ireland Football League.

Peter Dornan, an independent director of the league and a former Linfield player, said the mater would be seriously considered as part of an overall review of the game in Northern Ireland.

The Republic of Ireland switched to a March to November schedule in 2003 and the move was deemed a success.
