Canada coach Herdman 'would consider' England women's job

Canada head coach John Herdman admits he would "have to consider" any offer from the Football Association to replace Hope Powell as England manager.

But despite his apparent openness, Herdman, who coached the New Zealand women's national team at two women's World Cups and the 2008 Beijing Olympics, says he has still "got a job to do" as Canada prepare to host the World Cup in 2015.

The Newcastle-born manager took over as Canada's head coach in 2011 after Carolina Morace resigned following their failure to progress beyond the group stages of the World Cup in Germany.
