Cardiff 3-2 Man City: Mackay - Cardiff deserve top-flight status

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay says his side proved they are worthy of their place in the Premier League by beating Manchester City 3-2 in their first home match since being promoted.

Edin Dzeko gave City the lead but Aron Gunnarsson and a Fraizer Campbell double secured a famous victory despite Alvaro Negredo's late header for City.

It was the Bluebirds' first top-flight victory in English football since they were last there in 1962.
