Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believe his team deserved their 1-0 win over Arsenal because of the way they defended after taking the lead.

Former Gunners striker Robin van Persie scored the only goal of the match in the first half, heading home a corner from Rooney, but Arsenal stepped up their game after the break and almost forced an equaliser.
