BBC African Footballer of the Year 2013 - Jonathan Pitroipa
Jonathan Pitroipa has been nominated for the BBC's African Footballer of the Year award 2013.
Pitroipa emerged as a contender for this year's BBC award during the Africa Cup of Nations, where Burkina Faso finished top of their group, with the winger instrumental from the off. At club level, Pitroipa finished the 2012-13 season with seven goals as Rennes finished 13th and reached their first French League Cup final, losing out to Saint-Etienne.
Fellow nominees include Yaya Toure, Victor Moses, Jon Obi Mikel and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. The winner will be announced during a live edition of Focus on Africa on BBC World Service and BBC World News at 17:35 GMT on 2 December, 2013.
