World Cup's toughest groups
After England were given the daunting task of facing Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup, BBC Sport looks back at some of the toughest groups from previous tournaments.
Uruguay coach Omar Borras used the phrase "el grupo de la muerte" - the group of death - after his side were drawn to face West Germany, Denmark and Scotland in 1986.
Four years earlier the second phase of the tournament pitched Italy, Brazil and defending champions Argentina against each other.
