Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea: Victory will inspire us - Gus Poyet

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet hopes his side will believe they can be "winners" after they knocked Chelsea out of the League Cup with a thrilling extra-time 2-1 victory on Tuesday.

Black Cats' Lee Cattermole poked the ball into his own goal to put the Blues ahead, but a late Fabio Borini equaliser took the match to extra time.

Ki Sung-Yueng scored the winner to ensure Sunderland progressed to the semi-final, to give a much-needed boost to Poyet whose team sit bottom of the Premier League table.
