Cardiff sack Malky Mackay: Owner Vincent Tan dismisses boss

Malky Mackay has been sacked by Cardiff City.

Owner Vincent Tan told him to "resign or be sacked" last week but later confirmed the Scot would continue as manager "for the foreseeable future" after fans backed him.

A 3-0 Boxing Day defeat by Southampton, however, proved to be Mackay's last game in charge.
