Sunderland 2-1 Man Utd: David Moyes disappointed with referee

Manchester United manager David Moyes says his team are having to "play the referees as well as the opposition" after seeing his side lose 2-1 at Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.

Moyes was disappointed by the decision to award Sunderland a free-kick that led to Ryan Giggs turning the ball into his own net for the home side's opener.

He also disputed the awarding of penalty for Tom Cleverley's challenge on Adam Johnson which Fabio Borini converted to give Sunderland a one-goal lead going into the semi-final second leg and sentence United to a third consecutive defeat.
