Stoke 3-5 Liverpool: Raheem Sterling went down easily - Mark Hughes

Stoke boss Mark Hughes says winger Raheem Sterling went to ground "too easily" to win Liverpool a crucial penalty as the the Potters fell to a 5-3 defeat at the Britannia Stadium.

The home side put up a strong fight, with goals from Peter Crouch, Charlie Adam and Jonathan Walters. But a Ryan Shawcross own-goal, coupled with two from Luis Suarez, a controversial spot-kick from Steven Gerrard and a superb strike by Daniel Sturridge sealed the win for the Reds late on.

The victory was Liverpool's first Premier League win at the Britannia Stadium.
