Stoke City 3-5 Liverpool: Brendan Rodgers hails 'brilliant win'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says his side were a real threat during what he called a "brilliant" 5-3 win at Stoke City.

The Reds moved into a 2-0 lead through an own goal by Ryan Shawcross and a Luis Suarez effort but Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam hit back to level the score before the break. However, Liverpool pulled away in the second half thanks to a Steven Gerrard penalty, and goals from Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, with Jon Walters adding another for Stoke

The victory was Liverpool's first in the top-flight at Stoke since a 1-0 victory in November 1984 and moves them back into the Premier League's top four.
