Man City 0-2 Barcelona: Manuel Pellegrini says referee 'not impartial'
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes referee Jonas Eriksson was "not impartial" and "decided the game" during their 2-0 defeat by Barcelona in a Champions League last-16 first-leg tie.
Swedish referee Eriksson awarded Barcelona a penalty and sent off City defender Martin Demichelis, with Lionel Messi converting the spot-kick and Dani Alves scoring a late goal.
Pellegrini felt the penalty should not have been awarded as it was "outside the box", and said Uefa should have chosen a referee "with more experience" than Eriksson.
