Real Madrid's Luka Modric says the Spanish giants want a historic treble of league, cup and European success this season.

Madrid are joint leaders of La Liga, face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final in April, and play German club Schalke in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Modric says the club have waited "too long" for their quest to be crowned champions of Europe for the 10th time, following 11 fruitless years chasing 'la decima'.
