Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester United: Rooney on new contract

After scoring in a 2-0 away win at Crystal Palace, Wayne Rooney says he is "delighted to have signed a "long-term contract" at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal worth £300,000 a week on Friday before blasting in United's second goal at Selhurst Park.

Rooney believes that it is still "achievable" to qualify for the Champions League despite being nine points from fourth-placed Liverpool who have a game in hand.
