Man City 4-1 Southampton: Strong second half pleases Pellegrini

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says his side played well in the second half of their 4-1 win over Southampton, after an even first period.

Yaya Toure opened the scoring from the penalty spot, and goals from Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko gave City a 3-1 lead at the interval, with Stevan Jovetic making it 4-1 late in the game.

The result made it 14 wins from 15 home league games this season for City, who are now one point behind Premier League leaders Liverpool - the two sides face each other at Anfield next Sunday.
