Southampton 2-0 Everton: Mauricio Pochettino proud of 'superior' Saints
Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino says his side were "superior" after they recorded a 2-0 victory over Everton at St Mary's.
The Saints went ahead after 54 seconds when Antolin Alcaraz headed Rickie Lambert's awkward left-wing cross into his own net and Seamus Coleman headed another own goal to make it 2-0.
The win was Southampton's first in four matches and takes their tally to 52, equalling the club's record points tally for a Premier League season.
