Manuel Pellegrini could extend Frank Lampard's Manchester City stay

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says on-loan midfielder Frank Lampard could stay with the club despite being scheduled to return to new side New York City FC in January.

Lampard scored a late equaliser against former club Chelsea to earn Manchester City a vital point on Sunday.

The 36-year-old signed for New York City in July on a two-year contract after his release by Chelsea.
