Man City 0-2 Newcastle: City must recover trust - Pellegrini

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his side are "not in a good moment" and must "recover their trust as a team", after being knocked out of the League Cup by Newcastle.

Cup holders City went behind after six minutes when Rolando Aarons scored with an angled drive, and Moussa Sissoko slid in the second with 15 minutes remaining to give the Magpies a 2-0 win.

The result was Manchester City's second defeat in a row, following a 2-1 loss at West Ham on Saturday. City's next match is at home to neighbours Manchester United on Sunday.
