Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham: Red card cost us the game - Lambert

Manager Paul Lambert says Christian Benteke's red card "changed the course" of the game during Aston Villa's 2-1 defeat by Tottenham.

The Villa manager also claims the striker was "provoked" into raising his hand during the incident, which resulted in his sending-off.

Andreas Weimann had given the home side a deserved lead, but Nacer Chadli equalised for Spurs before Harry Kane scored to secure all three points for Tottenham and consign Aston Villa to a sixth straight defeat.
