Port Vale: Striker Achille Campion seeks longer loan stay

Port Vale striker Achille Campion tells BBC Radio Stoke that he has faith in his own ability as he seeks to earn a longer loan stay in the Potteries.

After three months waiting in the wings, the 24-year-old Frenchman, on loan from Swedish side Norrby IF, finally took his bow when he made his debut as a late substitute in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Gillingham.

"I have high expectations for myself," he said. "I want to get to the Championship, but I need to score more goals.

"My loan expires in January, but I'm really happy at Vale. I'll keep working hard and the gaffer can make the choice. I don't knock on his door, I just try to show him on the pitch."
