Steven Gerrard: Kobe Bryant welcomes midfielder to Los Angeles

LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant sends a message welcoming Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to Los Angeles, after Los Angeles Galaxy confirm the midfielder will join them in July.

In the video message, NBA player Bryant tells the former England midfielder: "I've been a fan of yours for a very, very long time." He goes on to say he hopes Gerrard's signing will help to bring "another championship to the Galaxy. I'm sure it will."

Gerrard will play for the Major League Soccer club after his contract at Anfield expires this summer.
