Women's World Cup: Inspiring males is surreal - Karen Carney
England forward Karen Carney tells BBC Midlands Today how surreal it feels to inspire a nation and be idolised by young aspiring male footballers after the Lionesses won bronze at the Women's World Cup.
The 27-year-old played in six of England's seven matches, scoring twice, as the Lionesses finished third in Canada.
Carney, who became the first woman inducted into Birmingham City's Hall of Fame, talks about watching a video of a young boy emulating Lucy Bronze rather than Wayne Rooney while celebrating a goal.
