Blatter says world football's governing ss an institution is not corrupt and that he is a "clean and honest man". He adds that he cannot be held responsible for the actions of the heads of various football confederations.

The 79-year-old Swiss defends his record at Fifa and says he believes that football is in a better state than when he joined 40 years ago.

Blatter announced his resignation as president just days after being re-elected for a fifth term.
