Leeds United: 840 texts for new head coach Steve Evans

Leeds United manager Steve Evans says he received 840 text messages when news broke of his appointment as the new head coach of Leeds United.

The former Rotherham manager says the reaction made him "realise the size of the opportunity" he has been given at Elland Road.

Evans, 52, says he is concentrating on "what happens on the grass" and not on chairman Massimo Cellino's ban as he prepares for his first match in charge away at Fulham on Wednesday.
