Cambridge United groundsman Ian Darler marks 40 years in the job

Cambridge United groundsman Ian Darler tells BBC Look East he has lived "a boyhood dream" looking after the Abbey Stadium pitch for 40 years.

Darler has spent at least £35,000 of his own money on sustaining the pitch, with the League Two club having 28 managers since he first started.

U's director of football Graham Daniels said Darler is "one of the finest groundsman" in the EFL.
