Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was full of praise for captain Bruno Fernandes saying he was the best player on the pitch as they beat Real Betis 4-1 in the first leg of their last-16 Europa League tie.

But he warned his players that they can never become complacent following their heavy defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League.
