Alan Sheehan: Caretaker Swansea City boss does not rule out taking job on permanent basis

Caretaker head coach Alan Sheehan has refused to rule out the idea of becoming Swansea City boss on a full-time basis.

Sheehan, 37, has been in charge since Michael Duff was sacked earlier this month, overseeing a 2-1 win at Rotherham and a 1-1 draw at Stoke.

Tottenham's Chris Davies is the leading candidate to replace Duff, but the Premier League club have not yet given Swansea permission to speak to their senior assistant coach.

The Swans host Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday,
