Rhian Wilkinson: 'Wales is the job I wanted, not a step down'
New head coach Rhian Wilkinson has denied the Wales job is a step down after a controversial exit from her last post at Portland Thorns.
Wilkinson was investigated and subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing over an alleged relationship with a Portland player but still resigned in December 2022 citing that she had “lost the locker room”.
However at her unveiling in Cardiff on Thursday, Wilkinson was adamant that the Wales job was the one she wanted and not a step down to rebuild her reputation.
