Ryder Cup 2012: History means nothing - Graeme McDowell

Europe's Graeme McDowell is adamant the successful tournament history of his side counts for very little as preparation for the Ryder Cup gets under way.

The Northern Irishman, who sealed the dramatic victory at Celtic Manor in 2010, external believes that this European side arrive at Medinah as "slight underdogs" and expects another tight finish to the tournament.
