Darren Clarke says he would 'dearly love' to be Ryder Cup captain
Former Open champion Darren Clarke says he would "dearly love" to be captain of the European Ryder Cup team after being linked with the job for the 2014 staging of the event at Gleneagles.
Clarke and Dubliner Paul McGinley are both believed to be in the running for the job.
The Northern Ireland golfer also expresses a desire to play in the event again, given his recent improvement in form.
Clarke also comments on the damage done to the global image of Northern Ireland by the events of recent weeks.
