Lurgan man Gareth Shaw thrilled by Carton House 68

Lurgan golfer Gareth Shaw comfortably makes the cut at the Irish Open as a second-round 68 puts him on three under at Carton House.

Shaw, recently appointed as Galgorm Castle's touring professional, is a regular on the Challenge Tour and is playing in his first regular European Tour event this week.

"I only got a late call into the event last week so anything into the weekend is a bonus for me," said a delighted Shaw after his round.
