The Open: Tony Jacklin recalls his nightmare on the 17th at Muirfield

Tony Jacklin talks to BBC Sport's Dan Walker about the way his bid to win the 1972 Open collapsed in the final round on the notorious 17th hole at Muirfield.

Jacklin, who won the Open in 1969, was favourite to win the tournament again, but after leaving his shot to the green short, it was Lee Trevino who chipped in to take the title.

And the former Ryder Cup captain admits that setback "derailed" him as far as future bids to win majors were concerned.
