Masters 2015: Rory McIlroy rues slow start at Augusta
World number one Rory McIlroy believes a disappointing opening 27 holes at Augusta prevented him from contending for a first Masters victory.
The Northern Ireland player, who finished fourth after an impressive final-round 66, would have completed a career Grand Slam with a win in the season's first major.
McIlroy praised Jordan Spieth, who equalled the lowest score in Masters history to secure his first major.
