Open 2015: Shane Lowry hopes to challenge at St Andrews

Shane Lowry, the top ranked Irish golfer at this week's Open Championship, hopes he can mount a serious challenge at St Andrews.

Lowry has been in good form in recent months and tied for ninth at the recent US Open at Chambers Bay.

"I've had a few chances to win but haven't finished them off. I need to hole a few putts and get the odd break, also make the best of any weather that is thrown at us."
