Open Championship: Royal Portrush course excites Darren Clarke

Darren Clarke says the Open Championship at Royal Portrush will be "sensational" when the event returns to Northern Ireland in 2019.

Organisers the Royal & Ancient said last year that Portrush would host the event and they confirmed 18 to 21 July 2019 as the dates on Tuesday.

The Open will be the biggest sporting event ever held in Northern Ireland, and a successful staging of the championship at Royal Portrush in 2019 is likely to mean the major returning to the venue.
