Rory McIlroy out of Olympics: Gold medal hope's decision 'disappoints' McGinley

Ireland Olympic golf team manager Paul McGinley is left "disappointed" by Rory McIlroy's decision to pull out of the Rio Games because of his concerns over the Zika virus.

"As an Irishman, I'm disappointed. It's not about me. It's about representing Ireland," said McGinley, who skippered Europe to victory at the 2014 Ryder Cup.

"With Rory we had a very legitimate chance of gold."
